The Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse has an elongated silver and blue body with a long horizontal black stripe that becomes progressively wider as it reaches the rear of the fish. Cleaner Wrasses are excellent for helping to rid other fish of parasites by cleaning them. They are peaceful aquarium inhabitants but they may irritate the skin of sensitive fish by continually trying to clean them. They are safe for reef aquariums as they will leave invertebrates alone.

Cleaner Wrasses subsist by feeding on skin parasites of other fish but can be fed a diet of finely chopped meat foods if skin parasites are not available. Cleaner Wrasses should be kept singly in small aquaria as they may be aggressive to others of the same species.
