casdade 3/6/2013 Reviewer: richard to margaret....dont bother buying fluval they do the same thing as your filter....i have 6 fluvals and they all leak at some point in time
I LIKE IT BUT....... 11/7/2012 Reviewer: Margaret I really like the concept, ? easy maint of this filter. However, if the power goes off for even seconds it starts leaking, power off for extended time on a full tank it leaks out until suction is lost. I have 30 years plus of experience & I know what I'm doing. I have spare o rings and other parts just in case. The only thing anyone could attribute the leaking (from canister by the way) to is the o ring is bad (not on a brand new filter - but I tried it anyway) or I don't have it connected properly (another negative). I have 3 of these by the way. Would love to stick it out with these filters BUT it is extremely annoying doing maint. and always worrying what if the power goes out. I have called the company and That Pet Place and no one really has an answer. Googled myself beyond google to get some advice ~ still no solutions. I'm thinking of switching over to Fluval but really can't afford or want to spend the money if its not necessary. These filters are only about 3 years old and I have had this problem from the very start with all three. Any advice is welcomed. I love I can go about 6 months using 2 1500's on a 150 gal with oscars/red devil - and yes they get along fine! Of course I do weekly water changes.
Great Filter 7/29/2012 Reviewer: Mike D Great Filter had no problems with this I have it for at least 8 months very easy to maintain and filters the aquarium great. Easy to clean piece of cake I would recommend this filter to anyone looking for a good filter at a good price.
Good Filter 7/23/2012 Reviewer: Ben I've had it for 4 months now, works fine no leaks or malfunctions. has a nice strong current.
