The ideal substrate for most reptiles, amphibians, and insects, Eco Earth is a compressed brick of natural coconut fiber that expands to create 7.5 to 8.5 quarts of substrate. Naturally absorbent, Eco Earth actually helps to break down odor and waste products. Mix Eco Earth with an organic fertilizer and you'll have the perfect Vivaria soil!
Size:
3 bricks, each making 7.5 to 8.5 quarts of substrate.
Instructions: Place Eco Earth brick into a pail, bucket, or sink. Add 4 quarts of water. Allow brick to expand for 20-30 mins. Wring out excess moisture.

Great at holding moisture! 2/28/2013 Reviewer: Avel This stuff is also easy to spot clean and resists mold and fungus. I mix this with sand for my Tegu to burrow in and it holds the moisture that the Tegu needs. Also have used it in the past for my other pets.
