Flourite is a unique gravel specifically designed for the planted aquarium. Essential nutrients are already in the gravel, so no supplements are needed. It can be mixed with other gravel or used alone. For best results at least half of the substrate mixture should be of Flourite. Freshwater only.

Disappointed 3/18/2013 Reviewer: Bigjoem The description should reveal the fact that it seems to color the water. I tried it in my Fluval Chi and it has tinted everything yellow. There would be no other reason for this as that was the only addition to the tank.
