Details
The Galactic Purple GloFish is one of the newest colors released. It has a pinkish-purple color with faint silver-gold horizontal stripes and a golden-orange patch on top of its head.
The GloFish is just as hardy as a regular Zebra Danio and also features the same bluish striping. They are an active fish that will hang out around mid-water or upper water level. They are great for community tanks. Feed them a varied diet of flake, small pellet, and occasional small-sized frozen food.
The glowing coloration of the GloFish will not fade or change - it is within their genetic structure and will actually be passed on to their offspring should they spawn. To see them "glow" at their best, keep under blue "actinic" lighting. The colors will be bright under white lighting but will not "glow" as brightly.

Galactic Purple GloFish
by Bob
This fish's arrival size is 1 inch in length. A really sweet schooling fish and the awesome factor is you can mix and match danios if their the same size. The danios swim back and forth at the top of the aquarium.
Very Little Glow -- Died on day 6
by Morgan
Of the five fish I ordered (red, blue, green, purple, orange) this was one of the least colorful. I would recommend red, green, or orange for the full glow effect. 4 of the 5 fish I ordered died on day 6. The other was eaten during shipment. No refund on DOA because there was no fish to take picture of. I had my water was tested daily at my local fish store for Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, and pH because my testing supplies hadn't arrived yet. All levels were fine and my new set up 29 gal. tank was far from being crowded with only these 5 fish. No refund on rest of fish because it was past day 5 of order date. I ordered 08.18.14. Maybe they were sick from the start and it was just a bad batch, but I will never order from here again.
