Impeller Well Cover for Fluval 304, 404, 305, 405 Canister Filters - New Style

I have gone through at least 10 of these covers in about 4 years for my 405. The retaining clips beak very easily. I just put a new one in about a month ago and when I opened the filter to clean it a clip was broken and the cover was hanging down. I will never purchase a Fluval product again.

I've been through 8 of these in 2 years. It gets to the point where I don't even want to open the filter. I would rate this a negative if the rating allowed -3

I have replaced this part several times. I had it break once and didn't have access to a replacement part so to save my fish I had to buy a new filter. So I now have a backup for when it breaks which is often. Stay away from their filters!!!

I have to agree with the other reviewers about this poorly made impeller well cover. Almost every other time I open the pump for maintenance, one of the snap in clips fall apart. Very frustrating!

I would rate this well cover the most poorly designed piece of crap ever made...Why even make it to tell you the truth. I've gone through 6 in less than two years and like all the other reviewers I dread cleaning the interior because every time I open it up the well cover is off or broken

I also have the same problem.i have to replace it cause of clips breaking, they should come up with a better design. the price of the filter is not so cheap. why have to replace the cover all the time. just more money. also the propeller shaft. im going through it right now agan with the cover.i place a piece of air line tubing where the clip is broke to hold the cover in place. it seems to work for now but it runs kinda noisey...im not buying there product no more. wished I could find a better filter. ty you for reading this. warren_g
