New and improved design is now fully submersible! Automatic aquarium heater is for both fresh and saltwater aquariums. Unit has a precision bi-stable thermostat with plus or minus 1/2 degree F holding temperature. Temperature is now easier to set with a new dial and accurate 1 in. increments from 65 to 93 degrees. Jagers have a 2mm thick thermal shock resistant glass vs. the common 1mm thickness for and extra sturdy construction. Heater also includes a 6 foot double insulated power cord, and a convenient clip-on heater holder.

quality heater

I have owned MANY, let me STRESS- MANY, heaters. I decided to try the Jager brand. I have it connected to a controller and it works very well. The build is robust, not flimsy plastic. Compared to other heater, this is accuracy- which is important. Remember all heater will fail with age, but if I get a solid 3-5years with this ( and they have been known to) then I will be happy. oversize your heater or double your heaters to provide less demand on your heaters makng their elements less prone to failure. Bigger is better in this case.

Best heater on the market, hands down!!

I have 2 of these. One in each of my aquariums. One's about 2 years old and the other at least 4. Never had any problems with them. Fantastic heaters.
