Details

The Supreme Aqua-Mag is specifically designed for statuary, fountains, ponds, and freshwater or saltwater aquariums. It may be used either in-line or submerged.

The Aqua-Mag is extremely energy efficient and is designed to run continuously. The pump consists of a power unit encased in water-proof epoxy which creates a magnetic field. This drives a powerful ceramic magnetic impeller, the only moving part. It does not contain seals or contaminating oils therefore, it is virtually maintenance free. Mag-drives are UL listed to USA and Canadian safety standards.

Water Pump

Good pump so far...I'd buy another if the needed arose.

Built like a "tank"

Great solid pump. Has great lift height and flow rates, nothing cheap made here. This style pump should be the obvious return pump. They have no suction feet and will move around if not anchored. Just buy a plastic soap dish with suction cup feet and set it in it, problem solved .

My Go-To Pump for Calcium Reactor

by

I built a DIY calcium reactor 15 years ago with this pump. The Aqua-Mag 250 recirculates water through crushed coral and mixes CO2 into the recirculating water. Due to the small calcium carbonate particles that can get caught up in the flow, it can cause a lot of wear on the wet side of the pump. I like that I can replace the magnetic impeller and the ceramic shafts have never show any signs of wear. I have had to replace the pump 2 times in 15 years because of wear on the inside where the magnet spins due to the abrasiveness of the carbonate particles. But, the affordability of this pump makes that a simple choice,
