Would this be appropriate for a hamster or is it too large? Is 1/2" spacing adequate or does it need to be 3/8" for hamsters?
That Fish Place: Hi Chuck, thanks for messaging! With the 1/2 in. wire spacing, this enclosure would be good for medium to large hamsters. We would caution against smaller sized hamsters--they might be able to make it through the spacing. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
hello, I am thinking about getting some rats. Would this cage let two rats live, with a little bit of extra? Also, is there any falling danger? I know rats are very hardy and little superheroes but is there a possibility of falling/paralysis?
That Pet Place: Hi Olive, thanks for commenting! This would be a good enclosure for one rat. I would probably not suggest going with two, as there is not likely enough space. With two or more rats I would look at getting something bigger. Please let us know if you have any more questions. Thanks!

Would this be advisable for a guinea pig?
That Fish Place: Hi Chelsea, thanks for commenting. That cage is not ideal for a guinea pig. The ramps could present a falling danger. They would be better on flat even ground. We would think better of recommending an enclosure like the Tommy Cage from Marchioro. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

would this work for a rabbit I believe it would im just not so sure?
That Fish Place: Hi Leah, thanks for commenting. We would not recommend that particular cage for a rabbit. There is not a lot of space for a rabbit to get around and they would probably not utilize the ramps and levels. A good enclosure for a rabbit would be the Habitat Defined Rabbit Cage. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
