Congensis has dark green, waxy, spear-shaped leaves which grow to an average height of about 12 inches. It is a slow grower, producing new leaves from its rhizome. Congensis is hardy, sturdy, and is able to thrive in a broad spectrum of environmental conditions including very hard water. Anubias may be planted in gravel or rooted onth rock or driftwood.
