Blastomussa wellsi appears to be made of one large mass when extended, but is actually individual polyps. This coral is gaining popularity among aquarists who "frag" the coral into separate individual colonies. Blastomussa is also referred to as Pipe Coral, Swollen Brain Coral, or Branched Cup Coral.
