The Twist UV sterilizer is designed for maximum performance, power, and reliability. Easy-to-use wiper keeps the window free of build-up so your UV sterilizer can perform at maximum efficiency. Ultraviolet is a proven dependable and effective method of controlling algae and harmful bacteria without leaving any residuals in the water. Aqua Ultraviolet utilizes the highest quality components designed to work perfectly together maximizing kill rates and insuring ease of installation and maintenance. The Twist series UV's are designed for flexible installation, a union in the body allows you to rotate the inlet and outlet to design a shap that works in the space available. An expansion union included with each Twist UV gives you the ability to create the optimal wattage for each installation. If you decide to expand your water feature simply twist on the expansion union and add as many UV sterilizers as needed.

Instructions on Wiper Maintenance:

Unplug the unit and turn off the pump.
Twist off the transformer.
Slide the lamp out while still connected to the transformer. Be careful not to slide the lamp out at an angle.
Drain the housing. Pull the wiper rod completely out (fully extended).
Twist off the large cap (EZ twist top) this will release the quartz sleeve and the assembly will still be intact.
Unscrew the wiper ball and remove the hex nut.
Using a 1/2 " wrench, unscrew and remove the wiper nut located at the base of the nut. Be very careful not to cross thread.
Pull the wiper rod from the large open end of the unit.
Using needle nose pliers, remove top C-Clip from wiper rod. This will release the wiper blade.
Remove and replace wiper blade.
Using needle nose pliers replace the top c-clip into the top notch on the rod. Make sure the blade is secure. DO NOT USE THE SAME C-CLIP OR IT WILL FALL OFF.
Insert rod assembly back in through the large open end of the unit (from which it was removed) and guide rod out through hole at the base of the unit.
Screw new wiper nut in over the threads at the end of the rod and slide it the rest of the way down, until the nut is resting on the base of the unit. NOTE:Make sure to screw the nut over the threads on the rod or the seal inside of the wiper nut can be compromised causing the unit to leak.
Using the 1/2" wrench screw the nut into the base of the unit.
Re-install hex nut and wiper ball on the end of the rod.
Wet wiper blade and Quartz sleeve.
Push rod completely into the unit and insert quartz sleeve assembly through the blade. PLEASE NOTE:40 watt units have 2 wiper blades, be sure to insert in both blades. Make sure Quartz sleeve is inserted in the seat at the bottom of the unit. Tighten EZ twist cap.
