Tube Anemones are somewhat primitive. They have a long, tube-like body and lack a basal disc to attach them to a surface. Their long, slender tentacles surround an 'eye' of petite tentacles inside. They occur in a rainbow of colors, the eye often being a different color. These anemones have a very strong sting that can harm tankmates, and they are not safe as a clownfish host, as the clownfish will usually end up as a meal.
