Open Brain Corals are fleshy stony corals with dramatic coloration. They can have variable shape, with one or multiple lobes and may be green, red, marbled, or red and green. They thrive under moderately high lighting to keep their colors vibrant. These corals were previously known as Wellsophyllia sp., and there is still some debate about the species. It may even be identified as Trachyphyllia radiata in some literature and venues, but the differentiations are minute.
