Crinum aquatica |
| That Fish Place |
Crinum aquatica is an attractive "centerpiece" plant for larger aquariums where the rippled leaves will float in the surface when the plant gets larger. It has no specific or demanding needs as it can adapt to most pH, hardness and lighting levels and may even tolerate slightly brackish waters. As such, it can be a good choice for milder cichlid tanks since it has tough fibers that discourage fish from nibbling. It is a slow growing plant and grows from a bulb. When planting, take care to leave one third to one half of the bulb exposed to prevent rotting.
