Navigating through this website, starting at the
Home page, is a very easy and straight forward process. Navigation
is done through a menu or by clicking
a button or link.
Almost every page on our website offers the same navigation options,
so you can't get "lost" while exploring the website or
searching for the product you need.
If you should encounter a problem with our website, can't find
the product you are looking for or are just not sure the one you
found is the right one for you, please pick up the phone and call
us at 1-888-THAT PET. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff
will be only too glad to help you!
The primary navigation tool is a frame that runs
across the top and down the left side of just about every page.
This frame contains the following across the top of the page (Fig.1):

A primary navigation menu. Just click on the appropriate
label to open one of the following pages (assuming that you are
not already on that page):
First Line:
Events and Sales - page listing retail events, sales and specials
Store Flyer - online version of hard copy flyer
Customer Photos - the pets online archive of customer photos
Wishlist - a place to list
wanted items for later purchase
Overstock - excess inventory available at great savings
The number of items in your shopping cart and the total amount
for everything in it.
A product menu in blue. Just click on the appropriate
label to open the page for that product category (see Product
Hierarchy).
A "Welcome" line that displays your name (after you
log on) and contains the website Search feature, with a link to
Advanced Search (see Searching the
Web Site).

The frame contains the following down the left side of
the page (Fig. 2; note that the contents of this part of the
frame varies from page to page; the description here applies
to the Home page and several others):
Sign Up for Emails - click the label
to open a page to join our mailing list to get exclusive
specials and up-to-date information and announcements in
areas of interest to you.
Clearance Items - click to open the Inventory
Clearance page to save more than 50% off our everyday
low prices.
New Items - click to open the New Items
page
to be among the first to check out the newest pet supplies
.
Popular Items - click to open the Popular
Items page to see the hottest pet care products.
Note: Follow the same procedure for using
the New Items and Popular Items pages as for the Inventory
Clearance page.
Under these 4 items are three sections, each containing links
to various pages:
Specialty Items - special items and gift
certificates.
Customer Service - support information,
such as contacts, policies, shipping options and costs,
technical support, etc.
Information Center - information about
us and services we offer.
Two menus runs across the bottom of the page (Fig. 3). The first is
a small navigation menu with the following links:
Contact Us - to open the Contact Us page
listing all the contact points with email links, along with
our address and phone numbers, to help you find out how to contact
the right party, depending on what your need is.
Careers - to view the list of current career
opportunities we have available.
Help - to access theonline help for our website.
Site Map - to see a list of all the product
categories carried on this website
The second menu consistsof three sections:
Pet Supplies - listing the product categories
Customer Service - with links similar to the
left hand Customer Service menu
Information Center - with links similar to
the left hand Information Center menu
and two phone numbers: one for orders and one for Customer Service.
On most pages there are links identified by colored and underlined text. To execute a link,
you click on it with the left mouse button. There are two types of links:
Navigation links to open and transfer you to another page
Function links to execute a function and, in some cases, to open and
transfer you to another page
Among the most useful links are those called breadcrumbs that are
found near the top of every page, just under the navigation frame.
These links show you the path down the hierarchy of pages to the
page you are on. They are active, so by clicking on them you
can navigate back up the page hierarchy.
Another useful link is the name or the picture of a product, depending
on how the product is presented on the page. When you click
on one of these, the Product
Details page opens displaying detailed information about the
product.
Buttons
On many pages there are buttons, such as
, which usually perform some action, then, depending on their function,
may open and transfer you to another page. Just click on the
button with your mouse to execute its function.
