Transmitter should be located on the ground floor of your home. In an indoor area that is clean dry and protected and on a non-metallic surface 2-4' above the floor, avoid placing next to a large metal object such as an appliance. Once you have selected the location of the transmitter plug one end of the Ac adapter into the power jack slot located on the transmitter and the other end into an outlet.
Put boundary switch in the HI position, the mode switch should be in "A", turn the boundary dial to full clockwise postion, turn power on-red light should glow. The receiver must be located within 10' of the transmitter while installing batteries. To test the receiver, listen for a series of tones as you exit, being careful not to touch the probes.
Make sure the receiver is positioned correctly on your pets' throat with the pet safe logo facing out, towards the pets' jaw. Ensure the probes touch the skin, but are not so tight as to be uncomfortable. When the collar is properly positioned, you should be able to place one finger between the probes and your pets' skin.
To test the safe zone, turn the transmitter to low if your intended zone is less than 40' radius and to high if it is more.
Hold the receiver in the palm of your hand with receiver case parallel to the ground, the logo pointing away from your body, with the probes facing up (do not touch the probes). Walk towards the boundary until you hear the beep, this is where the safe zone ends.
To reset the boundary adjust the boundary control until the receiver beeps. Place a flag here and walk back into the safe zone.
The flags should be placed at 10' intervals along the entire edge of the property. Read entire training section and watch the video before placing collar on your pet and begining training.
Do not leave the collar on too tight & always allow your pet to have several hours a day without the collar.
