Opistognathus rosenblatti "Blue Spot Jawfish"
The Bluespotted Jawfish is golden to grey in color, and covered nose-to-tail with electric blue dots. They are sand dwelling fish and should be provided with 4-5 inches of fine substrate in which to dig and burrow. They are active members in a community, often observed excavating and maintaining their burrow. They are reef safe but may eat small shrimp and other inverts. Their diet should consist of both frozen food and flake food enriched with vitamins.
TIP: Make sure all rockwork is firmly on the bottom of the tank and stable before adding a jawfish! Their intricate burrows can cause rockwork to collapse, possibly harming the jawfish or other fish or invertebrates in the tank.
