Congrogadus subducens "Green Wolf Eel"
The Green Wolf Eel (Congrogadus subducens) is actually part of the Dottyback family and is not a true eel. They are generally a light green coloration with white dots that run from the head region to the end of the tail. These white dots will form what looks like horizontal lines that run the length of the fish.
Tankmates must be chosen carefully as the Wolf Eel will catch and devour anything small enough to eat. They will also accept many forms of frozen food such as shrimp, squid, or clams.
This fish is known to jump out of home aquariums when frightened or stressed. Keep the tank covered with a secure lid at all times.
