Labidochromis caeruleus "Yellow Lab" - Small
Yellow Labs are a strikingly beautiful shade of bright electric yellow. Their fins are tipped in black, the males more so than the females, though it is very difficult to tell the genders apart. This yellow color variant originates in the Lion's Cove area of Lake Malawi.
While these are African Cichilds and have the potential for aggression, Yellow Labs are known for their more docile behavior and have even been kept in semi-aggressive community aquariums. Attempt this at your own risk, however.
They will eat a variety of prepared foods, flake, pellet, and will enjoy the occasional supplement of spirulina flake. They enjoy a tank with plenty of rockwork to explore.
