Dendronepthea sp. "Carnation Coral" - Medium
Carnation Corals are unique soft corals perfect for adding some color to a reef aquarium. They are most often found in shades of red, orange, or pink in the aquarium trade, but other colors can be found on rare occasions. These corals are found in low light and even dark environments, like caves and under rock ledges. In the home aquarium, they can be kept under low or moderate light, and do best when hung upside down from the rockwork. They feed both by filtering particulate foods from the water column, as well as by absorbing nutrients directly from the water. They need a constant supply of food and will slowly starve if not provided with enough. These corals typically reproduce by "budding", in which a new colony or stalk will split from the parent colony under the right conditions.
