Rasbora borapetensis "Brilliant Rasbora"
Brilliant Rasboras are schooling fish native to Thailand and Malaysia. They are attractive fish especially when kept in schools. They have a light brown dorsal area, and a white belly, the two regions being separated by a black stripe running along the lateral line. The base of the tail is bright red.
These fish find security in numbers. They prefer a tank that is densely planted with dim areas. Rasboras are safe for community tanks, but are timid and should not be kept with bold or nippy tankmates. They will eat flake foods or small granules as a staple diet.
