Gen2 VorTech Propeller Pump MP40W with Wireless Wave Driver
The Vortech Propeller Pump creates a new benchmark for wave-like flow by combining all the amazing features aquarists desire in one unit: high flow, low heat, easy, efficient and controllable technology. The VorTech propeller pump installs easily onto any aquarium with a glass or acrylic thickness that is between 3/16 in. and 3/4 in. No drilling or accessory brackets are necessary, as the VorTech propeller pump uses magnetic force to transmit energy through the aquarium wall. A new magnet design is fully encapsulated within black plastic, cannot be damaged, eliminates rusting and requires no regular replacement. Capable of operating between 200 and 3000 gph, this little powerhouse is easily one of the smallest pumps on the market, and uses between 6 and 30 watts for operation. Unique design keeps the motor out of your aquarium, so it's not necessary to purchase a chiller. A new single controller provides pulsing wave algorithms creating surface waves in most aquariums, and also features a feed mode that switches the pump off for 10 minutes at the push of a button. A convenient Battery Backup feature will power one pump for up to 30 hours or two pumps for 15 hours each. Alternatively, multiple battery backups can be plugged in to each other to provide even more run time during a power outage. Powerful design actually creates an undertow on your sand bed for truly natural results. Other features include - A new long pulse mode allows for wave pulse timings of between 2 and 60 seconds, enabling your to create slow alternating flow througout your tank. And, you can couple multiple masters and slaves to create spiraling or gyre flow too.
- Night Mode enables you to set your pump to operate for 14 hours in whichever mode you select for the day, and go back to Night Mode for 10 hours.
- A pump disconnect feature automatically shuts down your pump if the dry and wet sides become seperated.
- Feed Mode operates at 500 gph to make it easier to spot feed corals and slow moving fish with the push of a button
- A save function on the Pulse Mode allows you to save your own unique wave formation
