Antennarius pictus "Red Painted Frogfish"
The Red Frogfish, or Anglerfish, is an uncommon color morph of Antennarius pictus. Anglerfish have a small lure on their head that they use to entice prey. They are ambush predators that will often hide in the rock work until potential prey approaches. Generally, they will not take frozen food right away and have to be fed live foods. Use caution if you intend to keep a frogfish in a community environment. They are able to swallow prey up to thier own size, and will not hesitate to attempt to catch a meal.
