The Barred or Banded Spiny Basslet is a small, shy fish that is closely related to pseudochromis and assessors. It is reclusive, and will spend the majority of its time in the dimmer, rockier areas of the aquarium. It is reef safe, invert safe, and community safe. This fish is best enjoyed if housed in a smaller tank or nano reef. It will feed on small meaty foods such as plankton and mysis.
