Micromussa amakusensis "Red & Gold Micromussa Frag" - 4 polyps
Micromussa corals are rare finds and command high prices when they are available. They resemble and are related to Acanthastrea and Blastomussa corals and their care is much the same. Micromussa corals can be found in many bright color combinations.
Micromussa corals are from deeper waters and though they need moderate to high light, the light should be indirect. They also feed on meaty foods by extending feeding tentacles from the colony. Supplements of foods like Cyclops and Mysis shrimp will help the colony grow faster. Micromussa corals are fairly peaceful and should not be placed near aggressive corals.
