Sawbwa resplendens "Asian Rummynose Rasbora"
Rummynose Rasboras are native to a single body of water in Myanmar, Lake Inle. This slender silver fish has large eyes and a deeply forked tail with brilliant red coloration on each lobe, very similar coloration to its namesake. Rasboras are great community tank fish, but can be intimidated by larger tankmates. They are schooling and should be kept in groups of 5 or more, both for comfort and for a striking display. Tankmates like barbs, tetras and other community fish of similar size and temperament are suitable.
You can feed Rasboras a varied diet of flake, mini-pellets, and frozen foods for optimal nutrition.
A planted tank is ideal for this fish, as they are native to a planted environment. They are not overly sensitive to water quality, but a clean environment will suit them well.
