Tridacna derasa "Derasa Clam" - YOUR CHOICE
Deresa clams are one of the largest clam species for the home aquarium. They are typically found with yellow to gold striated mantle colorations outlined in blue or purple. Mantle variations will vary between individual specimens. Unlike other species of clams the Deresa clam has a smooth shell and generally six or seven vertical folds. Clams are wonderful additions to any reef aquaria but do have some requirements that make them more difficult than other inverts to keep. Some reasearch is recommended before purchasing one to find out what species will work the best in your reef aquarium. They require good lighting and excellent water conditions.
