As you select items to purchase from ThatPetPlace.com, they are placed
in an online "shopping cart" (Fig. 1). You may save several
shopping carts, but only one shopping cart at a time can be your active
one. Saving multiple shopping carts within your account gives you
the advantage of keeping frequently ordered items in a ready-to-buy place
without having to add the same items to a new cart each time. When
you create a cart, you can specify a name for the cart and save it.

When you start a new session on our Web site
and you click
the button for your first item to add it
to a shopping cart, the system opens the Shopping Cart page for a new
shopping cart with your item in it. This occurs whether or not you log on to your account
at the start of the session. Additional items you select during the
same session are added to this new cart.
When you end the session, your new
cart is not saved unless you specifically save it, giving it a unique
name.
If you click the
button on the Shopping Cart page for your new cart, the system transfers
the contents of your cart to an order, but temporarily saves the cart
until either you "place" the order or you end the session.
If you log on to your account when you start a new session on our
website, you can select one of your saved shopping carts to use instead
of creating a new one. To select a previously saved cart:
Click on My Cart on the horizontal menu at the top of the Home
page. The Shopping Cart page opens.
Click on the You Have n Saved Carts link under the Cart Name label on the Shopping Cart page (n
is the number of carts). The
Saved Carts page opens listing all the carts saved for your account.
Click on the name of the cart you want
to use. The Shopping Cart page returns displaying the list of
items already in the cart.
You can now add, modify or delete items
in the cart before continuing to checkout or saving (or both) the updated
cart.
Note: Be sure you click the Update link if you make any changes
to the cart before you save it or check out with it.
Click the
button. The Shopping Cart page opens, displaying the item
in your cart.
Enter the quantity
you wish to purchase.
Click the Update
link if you change the quantity.
Catalog Quick Shop - Order items by catalog number
and quantity
Click on Catalog
Quick Shop on the navigation menu across the top of most pages
to open the Catalog Quick Shop page (Fig. 2).
Enter the stock number
and quantity for each item you wish to purchase. Note:
You must enter a quantity, there is no default.
When finished, click the
button. The items are added to your Shopping Cart.

Note: If you click the link next to Continue
Shopping, you are transferred to the product page to shop for
more items. The items previously added to the cart are saved.
Once you finish adding items, specifying the quantity for each
and clicking the Update link, you can use the Shipping Calculator
(Fig. 3) from the Shopping Cart page to estimate the shipping charge
for the contents of the cart when you place the order (continue to
checkout).
Click the Calculate link in the Shipping field. The Calculate
Shipping page opens.
Type in the Postal
Code.
Select the Shipping
Method by clicking on the drop-down arrow ,
and then clicking on the method you want on the list that opens.

The page calculates
and displays the estimated shipping cost (Fig. 4).
If you are logged on to your account and you are finished adding items
to your shopping cart, you can name and save your shopping cart for
a later checkout or for future reuse, especially for frequently reordered
items. On the Shopping Cart page for the cart you want to save:
Click the
button. The Save Cart page opens.
On the Save Cart page,
type in a name for your cart in the Cart Name field and click
the
button. The system saves your cart, closes the Save Cart
page and returns you to the Shopping Cart page, displaying the
cart's name in the Cart Name field.
Once you finish adding items to your cart and clicking on the Update
link if you changed the quantity for any of them, you can place
your order (Continue Checkout).
If you do not
have an account with us: The Log On page opens (an
account is required to complete the checkout process). See Registering
to Open an Account for help in creating your account.
If you have
already created an account with us: You must be logged
on to your account before continuing with the Checkout process.
If you are not logged on, the Log On page opens for
you to log on. Once you are logged on, the Checkout Billing
Address page opens. Continue as follows:
Under Billing Address (Fig.5), if the Billing Address is
missing or incorrect, replace or delete any incorrect information
or type in a new Billing Address. If this address is
also your Shipping Address, check the This
address is also my Shipping Address checkbox
below the Billing Address by clicking on it. When done, click
the
button. The Checkout Shipping Address page opens.

Under Shipping Address (Fig. 6) the system displays the
default Shipping Address on file for your account under the
label Use My Saved Shipping Address. If it is not the
correct address, click on the Use Saved Shipping Addresses
drop-down arrow
and select the correct address from the list of addresses
for your account.
If you have a new address or no address is on file for your
account, enter the address information in the Shipping Address
fields. Click on the Make this address my default Shipping
Address checkbox to check it, if appropriate.

Next, review the selected
Shipping Method and cost. Select a different method from the
drop-down list, if you want, and check the Make this my default
Shipping Method checkbox if it applies. Note the comment in
red that may appear under the Shipping Methodcheckbox.
When you have completed
the Checkout Shipping Address page page, click on the
button. The Checkout Payment Method page opens.
Specify
Payment Method
On the Checkout Payment
Method page, under Payment Method (Fig. 7), you can accept the
default credit card, select another from the drop-down list
or enter the credit card information, if missing, or update
the information shown, if necessary. If you want
the payment information stored and set as your default, check
the box.
When finished, click the
button. The Checkout Place Order page opens.

Place
the Order
On the Checkout Place
Order page, review your order to confirm that it is correct.
If any of the information, including the items or quantities,
are incorrect, click on the appropriate
Change link where available, or on My Cart on the top horizontal
menu or on your Web browser's Back button to return to the appropriate
page to make your corrections.
Click on the
button. The system processes your order (please wait,
this may take a few minutes), and then displays the Order Confirmation
page to confirm that your order was placed.
