Pondmaster Pressure Filter 4000 with UV - 40W
Item # 206486 / Manufacturer Part # 5045
The Pondmaster ProLine 4000 External Pressurized filter, with UV, offers high performance, and easy maintenance. This unique pond filter utilizes Biomatrix filter media to provide complete biological and mechanical filtration, for ponds up to 4000 gallons. The three way control valve makes maintenance quick and easy, through a simple backwash process, which cleans the filter without ever needing to get your hands wet or dirty. The filters backwashing system also features a handy agitator mechanism, which will loosen up to 90% of all residue, so it can be cleaned and rinsed thoroughly and quickly. A built in pressure guage tells you when it is time to backwash the filter. An integrated 40 watt UV Clarifier/Sterilizer helps combat potentially dangerous microrganisms and annoying green algae growth in your pond water. Keep your pond clean and healthy with the powerful biological, mechanical and UV filtration of Pondmaster External Pressurized Pond Filters.

The previous comment from Gary is correct. I should have listen to his comment below. I have purchased the Pondmaster 4000 with UV system. I am an architect and treat every device carefully when installed. immediate after the installation, (pump power is on), the water leaked from the cap. the water proof design is very poor. - do not recommend this system for anyone. You get what you paid for.

Went through two of these as fast as they could send them out. Both developed leaks IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLASTIC LID. I mean, the plastic was too thin or maybe a bad batch of plastic.......I dont know what. Im not talking about a leak in the usual place, like a bad seal or where something screws in or whatever. The plastic just started to crack and leak in several places. Could have drained my pond If I hadnt caught it. I was bummed because during the two days it took for each to start leaking it was doing a superb job. I called Danner and they acted like the couldnt even understand the problem, like they had never heard of such a problem. After talking to the rep for awhile she admitted they had this problem months ago but that all of the filters should have been replaced in their warehouse by now. I told her that I just ordered it a couple of weeks ago from this site and it was backordered, so it had to have been freshly shipped from their warehouse. But I also tried two, and they both leaked the same way. She had no answer for that. If she had told me that "Yes we have that problem and are in the process of rectifying and can ship good product in two weeks" or whatever, I would have been happy to work with them. But as it is, I am forced to go with another manufacturer. Bummer.
