Supreme phosphate control is made simple with the ingenious Pura PhosLock from Magnavore. This handy product is made from ferric hydroxide, which permanently binds phosphates, rendering them completely harmless in your aquarium, and terminating algae problems. Phoslock is five to ten times more effective than other forms of phosphate control, and it is safer for your livestock too. Great for use in all applications, including power filters, canister filters, wet/dry filters & sumps, and media reactors.

Instructions
PhosLock is the benchmark ferric hydroxide media for total phosphate removal in all aquaria. Used all over the world, it is the product of choice for many critical water purity applications. PhosLock permanently binds phosphates. With regular use of PhosLock any aquarium fresh or salt, reef or planted, will stay much cleaner and less maintenance labor intensive.
Directions: Place PhosLock into the enclosed media bag and place inside any filter. Make sure that the water flows through the media without bypass. A media reactor may be used for more efficient usage. Adjust the flow rate through contact chamber that it does not tumble media too aggressively.
Applications: Media bag with PhosLock can be placed inside of: canister filters, power filters, sumps, refugiums, corner filters, next to uplift tube on UG filter plate. PhosLock can be placed directly into Bio-Bags or other fine floss bags. In canister filters that get infrequent servicing, many months worth of PhosLock can be put into service all at once. PhosLock never leaches phosphates back into water.
Usage: For fresh water aquariums use 1 tablespoon (TBS) of PhosLock per 50 gallons of water monthly. For salt water and crowded freshwater tanks use 1 TBS of PhosLock per 25 gallons of water monthly. For reef and planted aquariums use 1 TBS per 20 gallons of water, monitor phosphate levels with a test kit and keep levels below 0.05 ppm. Replace media as necessary when phosphates rise. To clean up a well established tank, triple the standard usage dose. Mechanically remove as much algae through scraping as possible and vacuum the gravel bed thoroughly. Store PhosLock in the original tightly closed container.
For aquarium use only. Keep out of reach of children! Do not take internally. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Flush with plenty of water in case of eye contact and consult a physician.
