Every time an aquarium fish is netted or handled its protective slime coating is disturbed, causing a loss of essential electrolytes through the fish's skin. In addition, Stress Coat removes chlorine, neutralizes chloramines, and detoxifies heavy metals commonly found in tap water. Ideal for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

Use API dosing cap included with bottle. Add 5 ml per 10 U.S. gallons. Double the dose to replace slime coat and to repair damaged skin and fins.
I purchase this in the gallon size to save a lot of money. The local stores charge about 12 dollars for 16 ounces. That would be about $120.00 if I bout the smaller bottles and this is now on sale for $24.40 a gallon. You do the math!!

API products are all I use for our aquariums, it is hard to find this product in gallon containers.
I've tried them all, and now I only use API Stress Coat+ to dechlorinate and condition the water in my aquariums!
