Ivory Whelk - Babylonia sp.
Mix and Match to save! Quantity discount applies to all eligible saltwater hermit crabs and snails on your order.
The Ivory Whelk, also known as the Babylon Snail, is a very attractive marine snail. There are several very similar species in the Babylonia genus, all of which have a light colored shell with darker brown or orange spots or lines.
These snails are not Reef Safe or Invert Safe. As with all true whelks, they will prey on other mollusks like clams or other snails. These whelks are usually buried in the substrate and there are some claims that they may help with bristleworm control.
