Leptoseris corals are interesting deeper water corals gaining in popularity among aquarists. Wild-harvested colonies are still rare but captive propagation techniques are making colonies more popular and more readily available. Most of these colonies form plates or leafy shapes but can also be encrusting over rockwork. They are from the deeper reef and do well with lower water movement and lighting than many other corals.
