The base color of the Wolf Cichlid (Parachromis dovii) is gold, and well-kept specimens will take on a beautiful lavender color. They have random black spots all over their body. Juveniles are gold with a black horizontal stripe.

Big and mean best describes this cichlid. Dovii are known for their aggression, so tank mates need to compete with their temperament and size. It is recommended that these fish are kept in a large species tank with no tankmates to avoid issues. They will eat anything small enough to fit in their mouth, and will not hesitate to beat more docile tankmates. Feed pellets, frozen foods like silversides and krill, and earthworms on occasion. This fish is a substrate spawner.

Asome fish!!

I bought one at there store

I have a dovii and it is the costarican(yellow dovii) race. it is hard to tell if it has potentiel or not beacause its small size(1.5-2 inches) The pearson did give good advice and told me that my tank size was fine and that the yellow ones are basicly the same thing exept color . I have also bought a coral beuty from them. it is a buituful fish. they have an amazing virity and selection of fish(espeshely cichlids!!). they have large tanks there. There biggest tank is about 265 gallons or 300 gallons. I got there 120 for a resanable price. Great place for hard to find cichlids and fish in genarel. they also sell pet food for animals like cats, digs, reptiles and probibly a lot more. the people there really know what they are doing and give good advice. They even have a sighn telling you how big oscar cicghlids get and that they need a 55-75 gallon aquarium witch is being very honest in my opion. IMO great place!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would do 6 stars if they had it!!!!!!
