Instructions
1. Remove cover from filter.
2. Remove used cartridge from bio-holster by pushing down gently on the holster and pulling the tab on the filter cartridge upwards. Discard used filter cartridge. Bio-holster should not be removed or cleaned, as it contains living bacteria.
3. Rinse new cartridge under cold water to remove carbon dust. Insert new cartridge into bio-holster by aligning the key slot on the cartridge with key slot on biological grid.
4. Replace cover on filter. Note: Cover will not fit properly if filter cartridge is installed incorrectly. Cartridges should be replaced when water begins to enter the filter bypass and/or the cartridge becomes clogged. Cartridges should be changed every 4-6 weeks.

Much better deal here than buying at the pet store. Website is easy to navigate through; shopping and checkout was a breeze. They also offer an email alert when this product goes on sale! I use 2 of the large filters on my 125 gallon Oscar tank and it keeps the water crystal clear.
The media is super easy to change and they clean easy too, so I can reuse them a couple times.
They do their job

These filters catch a lot of debris. Yes, you may change them slightly more often, but they are doing a better job cleaning the water. The tank is cleaner and the fish are less stressed. If you are in the market for a new aquarium filtration system, I would recommend these filters.

These are GREAT. My issue is the cost $ 32.00 for only 12, That's only 6 wks worth here at our house. Even with rinsing them out to get just a few more days out of 1 set . you should offer a volume discount. People who buy this have a large tank, ours is 80 gal. The investment has already been made. You need to help us continue to enjoy our tank, so we will be back for our "Care needs". We will have to look else where, like Amazon to cut this price to maybe $24.99. I would spend $100.00 to get 48 wks of "Care Free Fish Lovin"
Cost of large cartridges

The cartridges cost are way out of line.I don't know if its the manufacturer or you all.This product used to be 19.95 a bvox of large!!. So lets get with the program.
