Blue Plus high-output fluorescent bulbs provide brilliant 450nm actinic blue light with high PAR numbers that encourage bluing in SPS corals and fluorescence in other corals. The blue light helps balance washed out reef colors. Recommended as supplemental to metal halides or for use with Aquablue Special or Purple Plus.

Great price... awesome bulbs!!!

I bought a cheap 6-lamp fixture, and the 3 Actinic and 3 12K bulbs that came with it gave off an annoying light. The colors were washed out, and the water had a yellow tint. TPP had the best prices, so I bought 2 Blue+, 2 Coral+ and 2 Aquablue+. This gave me bright white lighting, with a touch of blue and a pinch of purple. I had hoped for a little more blue, but I have no complaints with the current combination.
