The Carrier Snail (Xenophora sp.) is a curiously unusual snail. Its own shell is pyramid-shaped much like the common Astrea or Trochus Snails. This shell is usually covered however as this snail will use adhesive saliva to attach other small shells or bits of debris onto its own shell as camouflage. They are very uncommon and not available often or in large quantities.

The snail pictured here is representative only. The individual you receive may vary in appearance as each snail "decorates" its own shell.
