Great build quality, but doesn't retain settings during power outage

I have this Aquasky fixture on a 5.5 gallon aquarium with a betta and low-light plants. The strong points of this Aquasky fixture are its build quality and its timing, lighting features, and flexible app.
In plant-boost and color-boost modes, the light is yellowish and a bit dim compared to my Finnex Stingray on another aquarium. I prefer the Stingray's light.
Unfortunately, the Aquasky doesn't retain its settings if it loses power. When the power is restored, the fixture will turn on at full brightness. The program is restored when the fixture next connects to the app. Not ideal if you lose power in the middle of the night. For thar reason, I'm not keeping the Aquasky.
