Who are these tours for?

Our group tours are perfect for all ages and organizations! Once we know how many guests are coming and the age group, our staff can customize an appropriate experience.

How you can help our staff make your tour a great experience:

We want all of our guests and customers to have a great experience in our store, and we need your help! All tours are held during regular store hours and your group will be sharing the store with other customers. As a courtesy to our staff and regular customers and for your safety and the safety of our animals, we ask that all groups be properly chaperoned and follow store rules. Please listen to your guides, do not run, and do not touch animals or exhibits without permission.

What will you see?

• -Groups of up to 15 guests will get a 45-60 minute tour of our Reptile Room, Small Animal Room, Aviary, and Touch Tank, including an introduction to our resident store pets. If your group has any special interests, just let us know when booking and we will do our best to accommodate.

• -Groups of 16 or more can schedule their own That Pet Show. This one-hour kid-friendly show covers a variety of topics including diet, shedding, habitat, thermoregulation, endangered animals, animal communications, adaptation and more. Click here for more information on That Pet Show.

When are the tours?

• -Groups of up to 15 guests and That Pet Show for larger groups are limited and based on staff availability.

• -We ask that all tours be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

What is the cost for tours?

• -Groups of up to 15 guests are $50 per group.

• -That Pet Show for larger groups is $250 per show.

How do I schedule?

You can schedule your tour by filling out the form below, emailing retail@thatpetplace.com, or by calling our staff at 717-299-5691. Please include your preferred date and time, how many guests you are bringing, and the age group of the guests. If you have any special requests or special needs, please let us know those as well!

Can I bring a group without scheduling a tour?

Of course! Our store is open to the public so you can stop by any time. The store does tend to be very busy at times - especially weekends - so we recommend keeping that in mind when planning your visit.
