This aquarium substrate has fairly uniform 1/4 to 1/2 mm spherical or egg-shaped grains for reef and marine aquaria. The grains are aragonite, a naturally occurring calcium carbonate material made in the shells of many marine organisms. It has a superior buffering capacity to keep pH stable in a range suitable for most marine aquariums.

Instructions
Directions: Simply rinse before use to remove any residual dust. To determine the number of bags required for your aquarium, please note that each bag (9 kg, 20 lbs) occupies a volume of 5,300 cm3 (320 cu. in.). To determine your desired volume multiply tank width by length by desired depth.

Dirty sand

This sand was extremely dusty and had a lot of foreign debris. I had to wash it about 20 times to get the dust down to reasonable levels before adding to my tank.
Very nice after a thorough rinse

It is dusty, but they admit that on their site. Once cleaned it looked amazing in my yellow top Mbamba breeding colony. Even after cleaning, it took a few days to settle. I’d buy it again because the finished product was exactly what I was looking for.
DUSTY - HORRIBLE

Absolutely horrible sand. Dusty, and clouds the aquarium to a severe degree. Any movement will bring up dust and there's almost an inch just sitting in the bottom of my filter system. It's ridiculous. I'm getting new sand immediately.
