Easy to chew holes through plastic base

If there was an option to give zero stars I would. I do not recommend any plastic bases for chinchillas. I got two of these cages for my two chinchillas and both have chewed holes through the base very quickly and escaped. I had gotten one replacement base through Kaytee after writing a complaint and the chinchilla chewed another hole through that one. There are plenty of toys for the two to safely satisfy their chewing habits but they still prefer to chew on the plastic bases. Stick to metal bases for chinchillas.
