Package Size16.9 oz.
Component: Trimethylamine functionalized, chloromethyled copolymer of styrene & DVB. Water 52-58%. CAS Registry No: 68774-33-8
First Use Directions For Newly Purchased Resin:

Place media bag with resin in a gallon or larger container and soak in 0.5 gal of chlorine free water for 2 hrs. Drain and rinse with fresh water 5 times.

Place media bag with washed or regenerated resin into direct flow of water inside any filter or media reactor. High organic load and slime coat products reduce effectiveness of the resin and may permanently foul it. It is highly recommended to use high quality carbon for 24 hrs prior to introducing the resin.

Regeneration is accomplished by passing a flow of brine solution through the resin at a rate of 0.25–0.5 gal/min (1-2 qt/min), using a plastic 0.5 gal water pitcher with 1/8” hole drilled in the bottom. Visit www.magnavore.com for additional technical facts on resin regeneration and maintenance.

1. Prepare brine solution by dissolving 3.0 lb of table salt in 4 gal of chlorine free lukewarm water;

2. Place media bag with the resin inside the pitcher and fill pitcher with brine solution;

3. Lift media bag with the resin in and out of the pitcher several times to fluidize the resin, then leave it at the bottom of the pitcher. After brine solution drains out of the pitcher repeat steps 2 and 3 until all four gallons are used up;

4. Rinse resin as in step 2, this time using 2 gal of lukewarm chlorine free fresh water only. Drain, check the media bag for integrity and return resin to service.

For aquarium use only. Keep out of reach of children! Do not take internally. Flush with plenty of water in case of eye contact and consult a physician.

Attention: resin has been manufactured in an acidic environment. Upon purchase follow the "First Use Directions" for removing acid residue.
