Tidal filters are easy to use and adapt to a variety of aquarium conditions with a several high end features including a self-priming pump, dual water intake, and a surface skimmer. These filters are designed to deliver the highest possible quality of water while still being versatile and user friendly. The virtually silent, insulated pump pushes water up into the basket of the filter, entering through the bottom and being pushed out the top. A bottom-to-top flow ensures that water comes into contact with all filter media, and cannot go around or over like other filters. The flow on the pump is adjustable allowing you to control how fast or slow the water flows, and the water recirculating within the filter eliminates adjustments causing any problems. Well designed and impressive

I bought this for my quarantine tank. This is a really well engineered filter, it should set the bar for HOB filters. First, its designed with a great bottom to top flow through design, and instead of being designed to sell cartridge media, the media basket allows you to use whatever media you want, allowing you to use effective biomedia like K1 or block sponges or even plastic dish scrubbers. In addition, the adjustable flow rate, heater holder, and adjustable surface skimmer add to a great overall filter that was clearly designed by engineers. Seachem sent their marketing team home for once and delivers a really fantastic product.
