Details
The Helanthium genus swords, sometimes identified into the larger and more traditionally "sword" genus Echinodorus, are collectively known as "Chain Swords". Unlike most swords, Chain Swords have narrow leaves that almost resemble broad-blade grasses. They grow by runners and new plants can be separated from the main plant via this runners and replanted.
"Tissue Culture" plants are lab-grown. They are offered in sealed cup and are grown in an artificial media, usually gel-based. This media should be rinsed off before planting and the individual plants can be separated for individual planting and aquascaping. Tissue Culture plants are typically free from nuisances like snails and algae.
