This is an excellent feather wand. The wand itself is a very nice length, slightly flexible. Tiny beads are sealed inside the wand. The end of the wand where the cord comes out has a clear curved tube that is appropriately flexible. The cord itself is a very flexible plastic-type material; it does not seem like it would break easily. The feathers are of high quality and don't easily shred. I bought mine at That Fish/Pet Place retail store, and it came with one feather replacement. (At the time of this writing, the online listing does not say whether it comes with an extra feather replacement). The cord/feather attaches by a simple knot. It is comfortable to use this wand due to its overall length -- no hunching over to reach the floor. I like that the cord is plastic (not wire) and there are no metal hooks that could hurt my cat's mouth during play. I would definitely buy this again.
