Anthelia is very similar in appearance to the popular Xenia with long, delicate "fingers" extending from each polyp. While Xenia grows from separated stalks, Anthelia forms an encrusting mat across a hard surface. It is often referred to as "Blue Anthelia" but can be pale blue, grey, brown or white depending on the lighting and conditions.
