Both the Mono (Monodactylus argenteus) and African Mono (Monodactylus sebae) are diamond-shaped silver fish typically found in brackish environments but can be slowly acclimated to full saltwater. The are generally peaceful around larger community saltwater fish but may prey on some invertebrates like shrimp or crabs.
