The Goldsaddle, or Yellow Goatfish is named because of its bright yellow body, one of several color phases this species may exhibit. Like all goatfish, it possesses 2 barbels which it uses to sift small crustaceans out of the sand bed. They will also accept meaty foods like plankton and clam. These fish are good sandsifters and have a lot of personality.
