AquaClear 110 Power Filter - Up to 110 gal.
Mechanical Filtration: AquaClear Filters come with foam blocks designed to remove uneaten fish food and waste, before they can break down and deteriorate into toxic ammonia and nitrite.
Chemical Filtration: Activated Carbon effectively absorbs odor, discoloration and dissolved impurities, keeping your water quality suitable for your aquarium.
Biological Filtration: BioMax ceramic ring media provides large amounts of surface area for the growth of beneficial bacteria which helps quickly break down waste into non-toxic nitrate.
All three filter components are housed in a convenient filter basket, making removal and filter maintenance quick and easy!
The impeller driven power filter is also designed for quiet operation, making it the ideal filter for anywhere in the home with no distraction, including your bed room and living room!

The Best! Bar none

Purchased this to replaced my Mag that was getting louder by the day and the parts continued to break and for now obsolete. The wife gave the ultimatum of get rid of the tank or replace that filter. Gave the clerk my dilemma and a nearby customer said AquaClear. After reading the specs, I knew it was for me. In short my tank of prize winning Orandas are happy and every now and then I have to check the filter to make sure it's on; it's that quiet. I still can't get over how clear my water is. You need this filter.

I have 3 running a 180 gallon tank. 22 african cichlids in crystal clear conditions. Could not expect more from a filter.

The media basket floated up and lifted your lid because of a slime build up on the foam block. This can happen sometimes even on the first day of installation. Try a rubber band around the unit. This will also fix your lid vibration noise problem.
used them for years. easy effective and yes, a bit noisy, but i barely notice after 2 days. good thing is you know when a filter stops working quickly. i have yet to find a better hob filter. have to be careful with sand though.
It does an amazing job, moving water and keeping the tank clean(Over 9 years old). Only complaint is the cheap plastic sound it makes. But again mine is also 9 years old.
Work horse for 40 years!

Just replaced six, 20+ year old versions of the current 110. Design has improved. Especially like how flexible I can be with the filter materials, adding and subtracting what works best for me.
Filters like champ, but super loud
The filter does a great job moving a lot of water. I've owned a few of these in the past, but did not remember the cheap plastic sounding vibrations that this thing emits. It really takes away from relaxing next to the tank....
AquaClean 110 Power filter...
Just what the doc. ordered, an easy cleaning power machine.
I would highly recommend this filter. I've owned a lot of power filters and this one is by far the best.
Not the first Ive owned

This is one of the best filters I've ever owned. It keeps the water very clean, longer than any filter I've ever owned. I just got another cause the other I had wore out after 12 years.
So Far So Good

This filter seems to keep the water nice and clear and it is quieter than all of the others. The only draw back is changing the media it is a bit more than I am used to however you have to do it less often.

I have been keeping fish for over 30 years and I have some old aquaclear filters probably 20 years old and they STILL WORK. you can not beat the design of these filters

this is the best filter you can buy. if you use the carbon and then replace it with chemi-pure or bio chem zorb...you don't have to replace anything in the filter for 4-6 months. just rinse the sponge off and never change the bio media. no monthly cartridge changes.
I have been in the aquarium hobby for over 20 years and will tell anyone that you cannot go wrong with an Aquaclear filter. They are rock solid and will quit running only when the electricty goes out! Just do the normal maintenance/cleaning and these filters will run for years!

Best HOB filter there is

I have had this filter for the past 17 years. 3 of which I have had for 10 years. As long as you take care of them, they last. Do NOT use sand with this filter. It will ruin the motor. I started out with one for my first tank, a 10g, then had 2 on a 55g as I love filtration and seeing the stronger current. I currently have a 12 yr old aquaclear 110 on my 20g tank! It is easy to access, easy to maintain, and provides awesome surface agitation. Noisy? Yes if you don't balance the bottom of the filter right, altho it comes with the attachment. Also as it produces a "waterfall" effect, it will be noisy hearing the water. Clean out the propellor every 6 months or so taking care not to damage the center stick as off balance or a crack in the propellor or stick will cause a very loud noise. We had this happen to use recently as we couldn't figure out the noise for a long time in the other aquaclear 110 we had. Couldn't fix the part as we would've had to replace the entire motor. Overall, best value for the money. They last, they work, and very easy to maintain.

I have this filter on my 150 gallon aquarium with 3 oscars. It does a superb job filtering, so long as you keep the large sponge filter cleaned out (I flush with tap water every 2 weeks) You add some bio bags on top and my tank stays well balanced. I don't notice any loud noise.. Compared to the biggest filter system I purchased at WalMart for $40 dollars, this filter is 110% better. I wish I had another one!

This filter is very noisy, we have two running on a 120 gal
